HOW MUCH TIME DO WE HAVE FOR COMMUNITY PROPERTY SETTLEMENT?<\/h2>

By law, 3 years from the date the divorce judgment becomes final.<\/strong> After that, the statutory procedure applies. This means that movable assets serving the family’s needs belong to the person who uses them as the owner. Other movable assets and real estate become owned in a 50:50 share. Debts and receivables are also split 50:50. <\/p>

DO ALL ASSETS ACQUIRED DURING MARRIAGE BELONG TO COMMUNITY PROPERTY?<\/h2>
